We are looking online to see what others are saying to give you a Hotpoint Fridge Freezer Review Overview if you will. There are many mixed thoughts and feelings about these units from what we are seeing. There are some good ones and some bad ones. This is why I recommend you read at least 30-50 reviews on the model that you like before purchasing it. It will save you a lot of time and headache in the future.

The first unit that we have looked at is a not so good one. The FFA74 fridge freezer by Hotpoint has made a lot of people upset apparently. People have even commented saying this fridge is perfect for someone that you HATE. haha. I know its not to funny, but it kinda is. Ok the point is that most of the people are complaining about the same problems. They are that the freezer freezes up and produces blocks of ice that get stuck and stop the fridge. Another problem is the drawers in the fridge. The people are saying that they are flimsy and cheaply made. They are falling apart, literally and people are very unhappy. Apparently there is some kind of flaw in the design for this model, so pick another.

The RF187BG is a model that a lot of people like. Most people have said great things about this. Some of them include how long they have had the hotpoint fridge freezer and were amazed at having not one lick of trouble out of it. Another is that the unit has a lot of space in it and can store just about anything that you have to put in it.

So as you can see, it all depends on the model. I can go on and on for days about all the different reviews that people have, but the bottom line is you have to find one that appeals to you and then do the research. Hope this helps you.

The Hotpoint Retro Fridge is a great thing to have. There are many of us that love the look of the old fridge. There a few drawbacks that you have to consider. A few things to consider might be that you have to pay more to keep the fridge running. The new Hotpoints have a lot better effiency than they didnt 50 years ago. But if you like the look and dont mind paying a few more dollars per month on your electric bill, then grab one up. You also want to find one thats in good shape. This will help you from having one that breaks down within the first week that you buy one. Also another thing to consider is that you might only be able to have a fridge and not a freezer all in one. This is ok just as long as you have room for a freezer by Hotpoint. You might could put this unit on the back porch or somewhere that you have room for it.

Finding of these units thats in good shape locally can be challenging, especially if you live in the states like I do. It will be worth it though when you do find it. Look online to find one thats in great shape and you can get a good deal as well on the Hotpoint Retro Fridge.

There is one that I really like and its the Hotpoint RSR50 unit. This fridge has a salad bin, a freezer compartment that some of the old retros dont have with auto defrost, a 5 bottle wine rack, a shelf that is full width, and 4 old timey glass shelves. This is one of my favorites. If you look for a picture of one online, then you will know why I like it so much. It was used in all the black and white movies and TV shows from the old days. A real classic.

There are places that literally carry thousands of different Hotpoint fridge parts all in stock ready to ship that day. I suggest you look online to find these places. There are also many diagrams of all the hotpoints to help you locate what the part is that you might need. There are companies that offer to help you with the installation of the part that you are purchasing. You should make sure that whoever you find offers this service. This can save you a lot of time and headache. Once you find a great company to purchase from, you should have a brand new fridge practically. Make sure the company that you order from has a money back guarantee too.

If your Hotpoint fridge has stopped working properly, then you have to find a part for it thats made by them to fix it. Dont try and use knock off brands to fix your baby, use the right part the first time. Find a place that also offers a one year guarantee as well while you are shopping. This is a great way to find a company to build a relationship with in case you need them in the future or you have a friend that needs advice. Make sure to get the right company to buy your hotpoint fridge parts from.

As you know without a fridge in your home, you just might starve. If you have a family then its more essential that you get the hotpoint working right away. Some of the places that have the parts in stock, can offer overnight shipping for a little added cost. This may be something to consider when buying the part that you need. If you are going to be in need of some tools, then you might consider asking the company their advice on this matter. If they are good and know what they are doing, then they can tell you what you need to fix your unit right the first time. Good luck finding your hotpoint fridge parts.

There are a few different steps to consider before placing your Hotpoint fridge freezers in a certain place in you home. You will first want to find a place for your fridge that is away from anything hot, like a source of heat, and that allows enough room for ventilation. The desired space would be around 4 inches for those of you in America and 100mm for those of you elsewhere.

The next step would be to move the Hotpoint unit into the place that you have found for it. Make sure that you move it by the sides of the cabinet. This will help you from damaging the unit. You also want to make sure you don’t hit anything in the process of moving it. This can cause cosmetic damage. So be careful!

The next step is to level the Hotpoint fridge freezer by adjusting the feet on the front of the unit. You can do this by turning them to move up or down. This will stop the unit from rocking from side to side. This part is very important do not skip it.

The next step is to make sure you allow the fridge freezer to sit in one position without moving it for around 15 min. This will give it a chance to settle and for you to make sure its safe. Then proceed to plug the unit in the wall.

Next, after you plug the unit in, make sure that you switch it on. Then allow a while for the fridge to cool. I would say around an hour before the first use of it. Depending on the model that you have, there will probably be a light that tells you when it is safe to add food.

Next if you are using the freeze for fresh food, then you need to press the button called fast freeze. This will ensure that the freezer will get as cold as it can as fast as it can. So you will have to wait until it is done. This should be no more than 24 hours.

Last if the fridge is not working properly and keeping everything cool like normal Hotpoint fridge freezers would, then you will want to consult the troubleshooting section in your manual.

There are quite a bit of different styles of Hotpoint fridges to choose from. You have a wide range that include, side by side fridge and freezer, top and bottom fridge and freezer, and also you can just purchase a fridge by itself. The top and bottom fridge is the “old school” version of fridges. I personally like the side by side these days. When I was younger there was no other option, but nowadays you have so much more flexibility with styles and colors. The side by side is much for convenient in my opinion, plus it just looks a whole lot better than the top and bottom. If you are going to consider the top and bottom, you might consider where the top is the entire fridge that have two doors that open like a side by side would, then at the bottom you have a big drawer that is the freezer. If you go onto nextag.com’s website, they usually have a wonderful display of all the models offered by Hotpoint. You can try Lowes and Home Depot’s websites as well. I can’t stress enough how important it is to make sure that whatever you choose to buy matches what you have currently in your kitchen. If you are planning to make more purchases later then that is something to consider also.

You also want to choose what color you want your fridge to be. You don’t want to spend a nice penny on your new fridge that you are most likely going to be keep for a while just to get home and it not match your other appliances. The main colors that are out there are white, black and stainless steel. The white and black are the two most common that I see in homes these days. The great thing about white fridges is they are very easy to clean and don’t show dirt and fingerprint smudges at all. White is also a very beautiful color in kitchens. If you like black, they work just as well. I personally have all black in my kitchen. I like it the best out of all the colors. The black can tend to get a little dirty at times, but it is worth it in my opinion. The fingerprint smudges however are a big setback. You do have to wipe it down regularly to keep it looking top notch. The black is much more modern too. Most people used to have while because that was the mainstream and what was offered almost everywhere you went to buy a fridge. All companies made white everything way back when. Now it’s great, you can almost pick any color you want for a reasonable price. Last is stainless, these look great but usually cost a little bit more than the others.

There are many places that you can purchase your Hotpoint refrigerator. I recommend you can do like I have done and call around to many places that offer used appliances. Not only will this save you money, but it will also be a wonderful learning experience for you. Learning about all the different models, prices, and different kinds of fridges out there is great for the mind.

I recommend you start by calling your local thrift stores and second hand appliance stores. Most of these places should carry Hotpoint fridges. Most of them do where I live. If you don’t have any luck doing that, I suggest going online to Google and typing in where to buy refrigerators by Hotpoint. You will have so many links come up that it is staggering. Most stores that are online are aware that you can just go to your local store and pick up whatever is needed. So the price should be very competitive to going to your local stores. A lot of websites will even ship to you for free if you meet the minimum purchase amount. You should really consider spending at least 30 minutes looking online and researching the prices and the different stores that sell them. Do your research well so when you decide to buy the Hotpoint that is right for you, you will know how much to expect to pay. If you do decide to purchase online, do your research on which stores to buy them from. Even some of the big names like Best Buy will deliver if you make an online purchase. Read the reviews online about the stores the people purchased them from as well as the reviews on the actual product itself. This is CRUCIAL! Other people have already gone through the hassles and know what works and what doesn’t. I can’t stress how important this part is! If you do nothing else, go online and just read reviews!

If you are a local shopper, then Sears, Best Buy, Lowes, and Home Depot are going to be the big names you are wanting to look for. If you have a membership and a store local to you, Sam’s Club and Costco and a few other stores that will offer great value for the money and great customer service. Sears used to be known for their customer service, but I have heard a lot of stories recently that might suggest otherwise. I personally like Lowe’s; they usually have great customer service and great prices. Make sure you get free delivery when purchasing your fridge. Most local places should deliver free, but this can be negotiated when making the purchase. You might also want to ask the customer service representative at whichever store you go to what is the most popular model? This is a great way to know what others are buying and what works!

Hotpoint is a wonderful company who makes great products. They are mostly known for their refrigerators and washing machines. The company originates from the United Kingdom and was formed in 1911. Their washing machines are the top selling product for the company. In 2007, Hotpoint made over 800,000 washing machines alone. In 1920, the company formed an alliance when their American competitor GE, to be able to market the Hotpoint brand in the United States. To this day they continue to manufacture quality products for every household, including your Hotpoint Fridge.

About 5 years ago, my refrigerator was on the verge of collapse and I knew that I had to buy a new one. So I set out to see what my options were. I had considered buying a used fridge, but I didn’t know of a brand that I could really trust. I turned into a buyer that basically had OCD. I went to every store imaginable looking at different fridges. I went to Best Buy, Sears, HH Gregg, Circuit City, Lowes, Home Depot, and any other big retailer that you can think of, only to find refrigerators that were too expensive and out of my price range. So I decided to do the next best thing. I decided to go to used stores and second hand stores. There were quite a few around where I live so I decided I would be smart this time and call around to these stores. The gentlemen who ran or owned these stores had a wealth of knowledge that I was seeking desperately. I noticed a common thread between them all. They all agreed that there was no point in paying top dollar for a fridge that was going to last for a long time. So they sold used ones, and made a good living doing it too. The other that I recognized was a big name that the people who worked and owned these stores kept saying was that the Hotpoint Fridge was one of the “best bang for your buck.”

I decided I needed a little more feedback before I was ready to make a purchase. I called some apartment complexes and decided to ask around and see what kind of appliances they put in their apartments they rented. Most of these apartment complexes not only had Hotpoint refrigerators, but also washer and dryers. I was amazed. So I was done with my research, I decided it was time to buy. I went to three or four stores that sold used Hotpoint refrigerators and I found just what I was looking for. I have had the fridge ever since and have never had any problems out of it whatsoever. I highly recommend a Hotpoint fridge.
